ABOUT JOY

I'm so glad you are here. My name is Joy Edwards, and I love helping people improve their homes. There is nothing better than transforming a room and seeing the change it makes in someone's life. Every space has a story to tell about the people who live there, and it is that story that I love to be a part of.

 

Interior design has always been my passion. 

I have been developing my skills as a designer throughout my life.  My first memory was actually in elementary school. I started moving furniture around in my room just to see how it would look and feel, and from there, my passion and skills grew.

Initially, I planned to pursue interior design after high school, but life took me in a different direction. I didn't realize it at the time, but my B.A. in Mathematics from the University of California at Santa Barbara, marrying an Air Force officer, homeschooling my kids, earning my certification in interior design from the New York Institute of Art and Design, and renovating our home with my husband have given me a unique perspective and skillset to understand a variety of issues that directly relate to the design process and helping clients with their homes.

 

I believe a well-organized, beautiful space is important for everyone.

I've seen the impact that good design has had on my family. Spaces that rejuvenate and inspire us enable us to pursue our passions and live a more balanced life. This truth has become increasingly apparent since I became a professional designer. Well-designed and well-organized spaces are an important backdrop to thriving families, work, and life.
