About This Project

REFRESH OF A 2006 NEOECLECTIC STYLE HOME

My clients were the original owners of this builder grade home. When they purchased the home, they upgraded some of their finishes, but it still had many of the standard builder grade finishes like honey oak cabinets, honey oak banisters, and finishes. My client made some changes through the years, but they were ready to make smart decisions on a limited budget. They knew they would be selling the home in the next few years, but they wanted to have more enjoyment while they lived there and make smart investments that would increase the value of their home when it came time to sell.

I have my certification in Home Staging, so we discussed how to make the greatest impact for the least amount of money to maximize their return on investment. The changes we made not only helped with resale but also gave them the enjoyment they wanted of living there until the time came to sell.

For the project, I chose a new whole house color, which brightened every space of their home and also worked with their current finishes. On the first floor, we painted the oak banister, closed a three-section opening between their dining room and family room, painted their kitchen cabinets, and added a backsplash. For their primary bedroom, we added new bedding, paint, draperies, and decor pieces to give it a fresh new look and redesigned the rest with their existing decor.

My client was very happy with the results, which gave them peace of mind, knowing they had already done the hard work to prepare their house to sell and could now enjoy their home.
